There are approximately 6000 acres of conservation land and town forests that are located in Chesterfield. These public lands are beautiful and have established trails.

These areas include:

• Friedsam Town Forest (220 acres)
• Madame Sherri Forest (488 acres)
• Mount Wantastiquet State Forest (520 acres)
• O'Neil Town Forest (80 acres)
• Pierce Island - Spofford Lake (5 acres)
• Pisgah State Park (4620 acres)
